Kurt Cobain’s Childhood Home Up for Sale in Washington

The family is looking to sell it for $500,000

Nirvana’s last studio album is 20 years old and Kurt Cobain’s family is commemorating the occasion by selling the singer’s house.

The Associated Press reports that Cobain’s mom — Wendy O’Connor — is selling the musician’s 1.5-story home in Aberdeen, Wash. near Seattle. The home was last assessed at $67,000, but the family is listing it at $500,000. They are adding photos of Cobain in order to sell it including childhood pictures of the artist in some of his more joyous occasions.

O’Connor said that the family has mixed feelings about selling the Aberdeen home, but they have moved away from Washington. The Nirvana star committed suicide in Seattle in 1994 when he was 27 years old.
