Trader Joe’s part-time employees will experience a shift in Obamacare for them starting next year.
USA Today reports that the company will not cover the health insurance of employees who work less than 30 hours. Instead, employees will now have an insurance policy under the Affordable Care Act that will help them cover most, if not all health expenses.
Trader Joe’s has a good reputation of taking care of their customers, offering them a $500 stipend along with health care coverage. Some believe that employers are starting to cut health care costs because of how expensive they may be once Obamacare kicks in.
