Two men have been arrested[1] after Rihanna posted a picture of herself with an animal over her shoulder during her stop at Thailand for her “Diamonds World Tour.”

The animal posing with Rihanna is a slow loris, which is a squirrel-like primate on the protected species list in Thailand. The photo, which was posted to Twitter and Instagram by Rihanna and has received more than 200,000 “likes”, alerted police to the use of the animal. Police arrested the two individuals that brought the loris to the photo opportunity. The men arrested include a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy. The two could face up to four years in prison and a $1,300 fine for possession of a proctored animal, reports ABC News.

Not everyone is happy about Rihanna posing with the loris.

“The public often takes a cue from people they look up to, and when celebrities act in this manner, there is a real danger that the mass thinks its ok for everyone else to be doing this. It’s not ok,” Kanitha Krishnasamy, Senior Programme Officer at Traffic, told Fox News[2].
