ToysRUs185 Toys R Us Announces Holiday Hiring Plans[1]Toys R Us is planning to hire 45,000[2] seasonal employees as it prepares for the holiday season.

The 45,000 seasonal employees being hired this year is the same amount that the retailer hired last year for the holiday season. The company usually starts it holiday season hiring in mid-September and it last through December. About 15 percent of the people hired in 2012 have moved on to full-time employment with the company, reports the Associated Press.

Toys R Us employs about 68,000 full-time workers and part-time workers across the world, 43,000 of these employees are located in the United States. The company employed around 113,000 full-time and part-time workers during the holiday season in 2012, reports the Wall Street Journal[3].

Walmart (WMT[4]) is also preparing for the holiday season. The retailer announced that it will be hiring 55,000[5] seasonal workers.
