An 11-year-old boy has been accused of bringing a gun, knives and 400 rounds of ammo to school.
The boy attends the Frontier Middle School located in Vancouver, Wash. He was arrested on Wednesday night for one charge of attempted murder. He was taken to the Clark County juvenile detention center. Officers showed up at the school around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to investigate after ammunition was found at the school. The school sits adjacent to the Pioneer Elementary School. Both of the schools were locked down for two hours after police had found the weapons and ammo. There are about 1,500 students between the two schools. The schools alerted parents about the lock down through their Facebook pages and district website. Kids attending the Frontier Middle School were set home early with a letter explaining why they were home early, reports The Washington Post.
No one was inured during the incident and the police do not know who was allegedly being targeted by the young boy.
