Dexter star Michael C. Hall is making a Broadway comeback by starring in Will Eno’s The Realistic Joneses for the 2013-14 season.
Variety reports that Eno’s play will be staged at the Rialto and it has a star-studded cast that includes Hall, Marisa Tomei, Toni Collette and Tracy Letts. The Realistic Joneses is being directed by Sam Gold and it debuted at Yale Repertory Theater in 2012 to rave reviews. Eno’s play is finally making its way to Broadway, competing with other anticipated plays such as Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays, an adaptation of Macbeth starring Ethan Hawke and Betrayal with Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.
Hall is perhaps best-known for playing the title role in the popular Showtime TV show Dexter that came to a conclusion in September after 8 seasons. The actor has plenty of stage experience, playing Posthumus in a 1998 adaptation of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline and starring in Broadway classics Cabaret and Chicago.
