The company isn’t sure that the bottles contain small pieces of plastic, but it’s issuing the recall because other products that used the same batch of ibuprofen from a third-party supplier did. Johnson and Johnson isn’t naming the supplier of the ibuprofen. Three batches of Motrin Infants are affected by the recall and can be identified by their lot numbers: DCB3T01, DDB4R01 and DDB4S01. Johnson and Johnson is asking retailers to remove the items from shelves and warns customers not to use the affected product. People who have purchased medicine that is part of the recall can call Johnson and Johnson for a refund at 1-877-414-7709, reports Fox News.
“The potential for adverse medical events related to the reason for this recall is not likely,” Johnson and Johnson told CNN.
