Kohl’s (KSS) has joined the list of retailers that will be open on Thanksgiving.
Kohl’s has announced that all of its stores nationwide will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. This will be the earliest that the retailer has ever opened for Black Friday. The stores will be open from Thursday 8 p.m. to Friday midnight, or 28 hours straight. Kohl’s chief customer officer said that “Shopping over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend has become a much-anticipated tradition enjoyed with friends and family,” and that Kohl’s is opening early for shopper who want to make it their first stop, reports Patch.
Other retailers that will be open on Thanksgiving include:
Von Maur, a Davenport-based department store chain, will remain closed on Thanksgiving. It claims that it won’t be open on the holiday because “employees should be allowed to have time to be with their families on Thanksgiving.”
