Because restaurants at Halloween see a huge drop-off in customers, many will be offering freebies this year as a way to entice customers.
These restaurant chains – from Olive Garden to Krispy Kreme – are touting their free eats in an effort lure customers who typically stay in on Halloween night.

Darden‘s (DRI[1]) Olive Garden, Red Lobster and LongHorn Steakhouse are offering free kids meals this week through Halloween. Each require the purchase of an adult meal and require a sign-up — and a coupon — from the chain’s website or Facebook page.
No costumes are required (as they were last year at some restaurants).
On Halloween from 4 p.m. until close, Chipotle (CMG[2]) will offer its $3 Boo-rrito, salad, burrito bowl, or order of tacos.
The offer is only good for those who come in costume.
All day on Halloween, come in to Krispy Kreme (KKD[3]) in costume and walk off with a free donut. Here’s hoping the red light is on that day!
No costume is required, but this one is for kids 12 and under only.
Walk in to any participating IHOP (DIN[4]) restaurants and kids get a free “Halloween pancake” — which just means extra sugar and candy corn decoration.
