The Alamo Drafthouse Theatre aren’t messing around when they say that no talking or texting is allowed during a movie as Madonna was recently banned for life for texting.
The Age reports that the pop star was texting on her BlackBerry during the first half of the New York Festival premiere of 12 Years A Slave. Madonna was asked to stop but she responded by saying that it was for work and was subsequently banned from ever attending a movie at Drafthouse.
The theater’s CEO Tim League said that he believes that people should never text during a movie, especially during a premiere. League added that all of the company’s theaters have been informed on the incident and Madonna will be banned from them until she apologizes.
