An off-road racer was struck by lightning twice during the same storm on Sunday and survived against all odds.
The Associated Press reports that Casey Wagner was at an off-road competition in Saint Jo — a town located in North Texas — when the storm came. The 31-year-old racer was under a tree when lightning hit him and knocked him down. Wagner was on his knees when he was struck by another lightning bolt from the same storm. The racer said that he saw sparks during the strikes and he believes that his survival was an act of God.
A nurse happened to be nearby after the incident happened and she took care of him until he was taken to the hospital and taken care of. Doctors told Wagner that he will feel some tingling for about a week but he should be fine after that.
