NFL player Tamba Hali made the staff of Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao very happy last weekend when he tipped them $1,000 with his meal.
The Huffington Post reports that the Kansas City Chiefs linebacker was having a meal at the Kansas restaurant with his family when he left the generous tip. Hali was embarrassed to get this much attention from the press and he said that he was simply trying to help out. The 29-year-old said, “I have been helped all my life to this point… I do this all the time when I go out because these people work hard. I’m just fortunate to be in this position.”
Hali has been playing for the Chiefs since 2006 after being drafted in the first round of the NFL draft.
