Tom Hanks Reveals Diabetes 2 Diagnosis

Actor broke the news in 'David Letterman' interview


Tom Hanks recently announced that he was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

Los Angeles Times reports that the 57-year-old movie star broke the news on Late Show With David Letterman on Monday night. Hanks was at the show promoting his new movie, Captain Phillips when he told Letterman and the crowd about his recent visit at the doctor’s office. The audience wasn’t too happy about the announcement but the actor and producer reassured them by telling them it’s a controllable condition.

Hanks is considered by many to be an American icon, appearing in high-grossing and critically acclaimed films such as Forrest Gump, Toy Story and Saving Private Ryan.
