Woman on Donut Run Plows Truck Into Krispy Kreme

The red light must have been on.

An unnamed woman in Jeffersontown, Kentucky crashed her red pickup truck into a Krispy Kreme Donuts (KKD[1]) on her way to pick up some of the shop’s tasty morning treats.

Jeffersontown Police Sgt. Brian Colebank said the 72-year-old driver had pulled her red Ford F-150 truck into a parking spot at the doughnut shop when the accident happened.

“She went to hit the brake and may have mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead,” Colebank said.

The name of the driver, who was not injured, was not released. Her son, Troy Holder, said his mother had gone to buy doughnuts.

While no one was seriously injured, the store will be closed for the near future.
