Running up charges while playing an online game has landed one little boy in Nebraska in a whole lot of trouble.
When the 10-year-old’s grandmother was contacted by her bank over $800 in odd charges on her credit card, she called the police. The charges were apparently made by the boy while playing Minecraft, which allows users to construct buildings in a 3D online world while competing with other players, the Associated Press notes.
According to police, the boy — who is under suspicion for felony theft — has been referred to the local county attorney’s office.
The grandmother’s bank told her that the Minecraft-related charges would be cancelled once she filed a police report.
