Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, has been voted “sexiest man alive” by People magazine.
Levine, 34, said that he never expected to be voted the sexiest man alive and that he thought the magazine was joking about it at first. He now joins a list that includes Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds and George Clooney. The singer has also moved into acting with his first appearance being made in American Horror Story last year. Maroon 5 has released four albums since 2002, with the band’s newest album having been released last year, reports Reuters.
According to People, Behati Prinsloo, Levine’s fiancée, laughed when she found out that her husband-to-be was named the magazine’s sexist man alive. Levine told the magazine that Prinsloo is keeping him humble and that he expects to be the “butt of every joke every friend and family member makes for the next 20 years of my life,” for winning the title.
