Best Buy, Target, Walmart to Slash Tablet Prices for Black Friday

Retailers also offering gift cards as incentive to buy tablets

Walmart (WMT), Best Buy (BBY) and Target (TGT) are among the retailers that will sell Apple (AAPL) and Microsoft (MSFT) tablets at a discount price for Black Friday.

Computer World reports that large retailers are selling older-generation tablets at a bargain during turkey day. For example, Best Buy is selling the iPad 2 at $300 — $99 less than Apple’s price — and the 16GB iPad Air for a 10% discount that cuts the price to $449. The retailer is also selling Microsoft’s Surface RT for $200 which is 75% below list price for the 32GB tablet.

Walmart and Target are also offering Black Friday deals including selling 2012’s iPad Mini for Apple’s stock price of $299 but they will also add $100 and $75 gift cards respectively.
