Half a century after it launched the first Mustang, Ford (F) will show off the next generation of the popular muscle car early next month.
The nation’s second largest automaker will debut the sixth-generation of the iconic vehicle on Dec. 5 at a series of events held in New York City, Los Angeless and Dearborn, Mich. The 2015 model of the car has been redesigned, though Ford says it will retain distinctive styling elements from its predecessors, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Details about horsepower, fuel statistics and other options will be revealed next month.
Ford introduced the iconic 1965 Mustang at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York.
Shares of Ford slipped slightly in Friday morning trading.
