Google (GOOG) is encouraging consumers to step out of their homes and into one of their Winter Wonderlabs this holiday season.
PC Magazine reports that the billion-dollar company will open up six pop-up shops in New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey and Sacramento. These will be available to tech junkies and holiday shoppers alike and they will offer consumers the opportunity to play with their latest gadgets including the Nexus 7 and Google Chromecast. On top that, customers will also be able to play with fake snow provided by Google.
The promotion is set to run through Dec. 22 in New York City’s Bryant Park Winter Village and through Christmas Eve in the remaining five Wonderlabs. Google isn’t the only company offering winter pop-up stores for consumers to enjoy as Intel (INTC) recently announced plans to do something similar.
