Flashy pop star Lady Gaga plans to go where no singer has gone before.
The artist known equally for her hit songs and outrageous choice in clothing will board a Virgin Galactic SpaceShip in 2015 and will give a performance as soon as the spacecraft reaches low earth orbit, Entertainment Weekly notes.
Lady Gaga hinted at the performance with a tweet, teasing the possibility of an official announcement at the live event promoting the release of her latest album ARTPOP. She later tweeted “GagaInSpace2015.”
The space-based performance will be part of a three day music festival — dubbed the Zero G Colony — set to take place near Virgin’s New Mexico-based Spaceport America, where the company expects to launch its space tourism business in 2015.
