TV journalist Maria Bartiromo is moving to Fox Business after being scouted by several major networks over the last few months.
The TV veteran’s long-term relationship with CNBC is over as Bartiromo’s contract is set to expire and she’ll be looking for a new place to display her talents, according to Zero Hedge. Since making her CNBC debut in 1993, the Brooklyn native has had an illustrious career thanks to her ability to land exclusive interviews. Nevertheless, CNBC’s decline in viewership over the last few years has prompted Bartiromo to find another news niche.
Bartiromo makes a reported $2 to $3 million salary and she hopes to be an even-larger presence in the news world with Fox Business. The journalist made headlines in 1993 when she became the first woman to report from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
