Mystery of Museum’s Self-Moving Statue Solved

The mystery surrounding a self-moving statue that is located at the Manchester Museum in England has been solved.

The mystery of the statue, which appears to spin inside its glass case of its own accord, was solved by British engineer Steve Gosling. Gosling discovered that the statue was off balance and was being moved by vibrations coming from footsteps and traffic near the museum. He made this discovery by setting up an accelerometer to track the statue’s movement. The discovery was made as part of a television series called Mystery Maps, reports Reuters.

According to the museum’s curator, several supernatural explanations were given as to why the 3,800-year-old statue was moving. He said that this is a normal response for Egyptian artifacts, reports BBC News.
