The Estee Lauder Companies’ (EL) Origins, announced on Monday, that it is recalling a batch of its face cream after mold was found in it.
The face cream with the mold in it is the company’s Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega Mushroom Soothing Face Cream. The contaminated face cream was sold in 50-milliliter jars and in 30-milliliter jars in the Origins Mega Relief gift set. Customers should look for face cream products with a batch number of A43 to identify the affected prodcuts, reports the Associated Press.
Origins warns that the face cream can raise the risk of infection in people with broken skin or weak immune systems. Those who have purchased face cream that is part of the A43 batch should return it to the store or throw it away, the Associated Press notes.
Customers can call Origins’ customer support at 1-888-529-4522 or visit Origins’ website for more information regarding the recalled product, reports the Financial Post.
