Patagonia has partnered up with craft brewer New Belgium Brewing to release a limited-edition beer to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary.

AdvertisingAge reports that the two companies[1]Patagonia[2] had a hand at creating California Route, a beer that Patagonia describes as being an “organic California common-style beer.” The outdoor sports company adds that the beer has an “aromatic blast of citrusy Cascade hops” and it will be available in 12 markets including New York, Chicago and San Francisco.

A New Belgium spokeswoman said that sales profits will go to the United Way of Larimer County’s Long Term Flood Recovery fund. This fund helps raise money for Larimer County, Colorado – where New Belgium is located — which suffered flooding in September.

Patagonia is best known for selling sports gear for outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing and snowboarding.
