AEG and MGM Resorts International (MGM), revealed on Tuesday, pictures for a planned sports arena that will be built in the Las Vegas Strip.
The planned arena, which has yet to be named, will have 20,000 seats and will cost $350 million to build. Contruction of the arena is expected to begin in April of 2014 and be completed in 2016. The arena is expected to be used to host, basketball games, hockey games, concerts, boxing, mixed martial arts and family and award shows. There aren’t yet any professional teams that are attached to the arena. The arena will match the size of the Staples Center located in Los Angeles. It is expected to have a strong focus on VIP features, including premium seating, hospitality areas, multiple bunker clubs and suites and areas set aside for VIP drop-off zones, reports The Los Angeles Times.
AEG is the company behind the Staples Center, The O2 in London and the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
