Rescue teams are searching for a woman who apparently went overboard from a cruise ship off the coast of Hawaii.
On Wednesday, the Princess Cruises’ Grand Princess reported that a 54-year-old female passenger went overboard. The cruise line said that the woman appeared to intentionally fall from the ship and that she was seen going overboard by a witness and captured on a security camera, CNN noted.
The cruise line informed the U.S. Coast Guard and FBI after the woman went overboard about 750 miles northeast of the Hawaiian island of Hilo.
Princess Cruises is owned by Carnival (CCL). The incident happened during the third day of a 15-day cruise between San Francisco and Hawaii.
Shares of Carnival rose modestly in Thursday morning trading.
