Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber has taken a stake in a new social media network.
Shots of Me, which launches later this week, is aimed at teens — Bieber’s primary audience — and is run by the development team behind RockLive’s mobile gaming apps. The popular singer has reportedly invested $1.1 million in seed financing for the new social media platform, Fortune notes.
RockLive’s CEO said that Bieber had been a supporter of the company’s social gaming apps for years and was eager to back to new startup.
The company has raised $2.7 million in seed financing for the venture.
Bieber has already demonstrated online muscle, attracting 46.5 million Twitter followers.
