Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) will start carrying plus-size clothing by Spring 2014.
Abercrombie & Fitch doesn’t currently carry clothing for women above a size large. The company has decided to change this and is planning to offer sizes, colors and fits of all styles in hopes of attracting more customers. This change is likely due to the retailer struggling to make sales. Abercrombie & Fitch reported a double-digit drop in same store sales on Tuesday and said that it is planning for a tough holiday season, reports Reuters.
Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries has been unpopular in the past for his opinions of who should wear the company’s clothes. He has stated that he didn’t want “uncool” people or fat women to wear clothing from Abercrombie & Fitch.
