A ticket matching five of the six numbers in the May 22 Powerball drawing has not yet been presented to lottery officials. If the ticket holder does not submit the ticket by Nov. 18, he or she will lose $465,593 in prize money, NBC notes.
The man who purchased the ticket was captured on a security camera at the store where it was sold. California Lottery officials have released the camera footage in a bid to identify the winner.
Officials say the winning ticket was sold at the Whitley Heights Market in Los Angeles.
The prize must be claimed by 5pm on Nov. 18. In the event no one steps forward with the winning ticket, the prize money will be given to the Los Angeles public school system.
