Time Warner Cable (TWC) now offers subscribers of its internet services digital music through Slacker.
Time Warner’s 11 million internet subscribers will be able to access Slacker through the company’s TWC Central website. Time Warner’s TWC Central launched in July and offers users news, entertainment, information, social networking, and access to the company’s services. Slacker launched three years ago and has over 13 million songs available through its service. The internet radio service also has distribution deals with several automotive brands and wireless providers. No specific information regarding Time Warner’s deal with Slacker has been disclosed, reports CED Magazine.
Slacker offers a free internet radio service that is supported by advertisements. The company also offers two subscription based services: Slacker Premium, which cost $9.99 a month, and Slacker Plus, which cost $3.99 a month, reports MultiChannel News.
