Toys R Us has joined the list of retailers that is opening earlier for Black Friday.
Toys R Us has announced that it will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Nov. 28. This is three hours earlier than when the retailer opened last year. The retailer will be offering doorbuster specials from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving, while supplies last. Toys R Us plans to release a complete list of its doorbuster specials in newspaper circulars starting on Nov. 27. Its likely that more retailers are moving up their Black Friday opening times to compensate for the fact that there are six days less in the holiday shopping season between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year than what there were in 2012, reports Businessweek.
Toys R Us announced in September that it will open its free layaway program on Dec. 15. Customers will be able to pay off their layaway items online.
