As soon as the Breaking Bad spin off, Better Call Saul, ends its first season run on cable TV, Netflix (NFLX) subscribers will be able to watch it on the streaming website.

Under a deal between NFLX and Sony’s (SNE) Sony Pictures Television, the new series, which is set as a prequel Breaking Bad, will be streamed on NFLX as soon as AMC (AMCX) airs the season finale of Better Call Saul. The Breaking Bad spin off stars Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman prior to partnering with Breaking Bad protagonist Walter White. Better Call Saul has not yet been given a premiere date by AMC. Had AMC opted not to broadcast the Breaking Bad spin off, Sony was reportedly willing to offer Better Call Saul to Netflix for its first run, Variety notes.

NFLX is currently the exclusive streamer of Breaking Bad episodes available for streaming.

While North American customers will be able to watch Better Off Saul episodes on NFLX as soon as the season finale concludes, NFLX subscribers in Latin America and Europe won’t be able to stream the Breaking Bad spin off until several days later.

Buoyed by various content deals, NFLX stock has shown considerable strength in recent months.

Despite the Breaking Bad spin off deal, NFLX stock sank modestly in Monday morning trading.
