A&E has suspended Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson for his views on homosexuality.
In a recent interview with GQ, Robertson shared his beliefs on homosexuality. In the interview, he said that homosexuality was a sin and paraphrased verses of the Bible. The interview drew much criticism from gay-rights activist, including the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Shortly after the interview hit the internet, A&E suspend Robertson from the Duck Dynasty reality show, reports The New York Daily News.
Since then, several conservatives have taken a stand for Robertson. Included in those who have stood up for Robertson are Sarah Palin, radio host Sean Hannity and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Glenn Beck also said that he planned to cover the topic on his radio show, The New York Daily News notes.
There is also a petition on Change.org that is seeking the return of Robertson to Duck Dynasty. This petition currently has over 40,000 signatures. There is also a Facebook (FB) page called “Bring Back Phil Robertson” that has over 400,000 likes.
