Instagram (FB) is the largest photo-sharing service in the world and there’s good reason to believe it could be addicting.
CNET reports that the Facebook-owned website is used on a daily basis by more than 50% of its users, according to co-founder Kevin Systrom. He spoke about the immense popularity of Instagram during a press conference on Thursday in New York where he noted that the 86 billion photos taken in 2000 pale in comparison to the 360 billion in 2011.
Instagram has 150 million active users and it continues to grow due to how user-friendly it is. Facebook purchased the website for $1 billion last year and it hasn’t stopped growing or making money since.
