Australian entrepreneur Steve Sammartino and Romanian tech prodigy and teenager Raul Oaida joined forces to create this amazing Lego car. The car is known as the Super Awesome Micro Project, it runs on air and it tops out at 18 mph. With over 500,000 blocks, four orbital engines and 256 pistons, the vehicle is made entirely of Legos except for the wheels and some load-bearing pieces.

Sammartino and Oaida met via Skype and discussed the prospect of a Lego car before reaching out to Twitter for funding. Sammartino tweeted, “Anyone interested in investing $500-$1000 in a project which is awesome & a world first tweet me. Need about 20 participants… #startup.”

About 40 people ended up helping out with the Super Awesome Micro Project. A video of the Lego car was released on Sammartino’s YouTube channel on Dec. 17 and it already has close to 900,000 views.
