What It Means for Grammy Nominees

taylorswift185 From Lorde to Drake What to Watch at the 2013 Grammy Nominations ConcertThe 2014 Grammy nominees are almost sure to include of few of the pop stars that will be gracing the stage — whether as presenters or performers. But don’t expect all performers at the Grammy nominations concert to necessarily win a 2014 Grammy Award.

The Grammy nominations concert 2012 was in Nashville. Taylor Swift co-hosted the show, and also beatboxed while LL Cool J sang her song “Mean.” But when the actual list of Grammy nominee was release, her album Speak Now wasn’t nominated for “Album of the Year.” Taylor Swift and other songwriters a 2013 Grammy Award for “Safe & Sound” — The Hunger Games song that snagged “Best Song Written For Visual Media.”

The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley also performed together at the Grammy nominations concert 2012. And while Dierks Bentley was on the list of 2012 Grammy nominees, he didn’t win a Grammy Award either. Luke Bryan, Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo were other performers at the 2012 Grammy nominations concert that left the actual Grammy Award ceremony in 2013 empty-handed.

A few Grammy nominations concert performers that didn’t disappoint? Fun won “Best New Artist” and Mumford & Sons won” Album of the Year” at last year’s Grammy Awards.
