daily apple rumors AAPL[1]Here are your Apple rumors[2] and AAPL news items for today:

Arriving: The world’s largest wireless carrier will begin accepting early orders[3] for Apple’s (AAPL[4]) new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c this week, the Wall Street Journal notes. China Mobile (CHL[5]), which has more than 700 million subscribers, will begin taking advanced orders for the handsets on Dec. 12, ahead of the launch of its 4G/LTE network next week. Ads for the pre-orders have appeared on China Mobile websites. The ads list the iPhone among smartphones from other manufacturers, including Sony (SNE[6]) and Samsung, that are compatible with the new network. A China Mobile customer representative told the Journal that iPhones can be pre-ordered starting on Thursday, but that 4G service would only be available after Dec. 18, when the network launches. Rumors about a deal between Apple and China Mobile have swirled for months. CEO Tim Cook visited China over the summer to meet with China Mobile executives. The latest iPhones are the first to include chips capable to running on China Mobile’s network.

Now You See It…: On Friday, observers spotted ads for 4K monitors for sale on Apple’s European online stores[7], CNET notes. But on Sunday night, the monitors abruptly disappeared. The 32-inch Sharp monitors feature resolution of 3,840-by-2,160 pixels. That’s higher than the 2,560-by-1,440 resolution found on Apple’s 27-inch Thunderbolt displays. Dell (DELL[8]) recently introduced a 24-inch 4K monitor. There has been speculation that Apple is developing its own TV set with 4K ultra-high definition resolution.

Training: Apple is offering free, one-hour classes on computer coding[9], the Los Angeles Times notes. The sessions, designed to provide basic instruction in writing computer software, will be held at Apple Stores on Wednesday. The courses are part of a national program dubbed “Hour of Code.” The classes are aimed at promoting computer education and encouraging young people to learn how to do their own programming. Those interested can enroll in a class at their local Apple Store through the company’s website.
