Ford plans to introduce the Mustang to Asia and Europe. With that in mind, the car has been restyled to appeal to global buyers — and to sell in overseas markets without the company having to make major adjustments.

After images of the sleek new exterior were released online this week, some commenters wondered if the design was exciting enough and suggested that the car’s relatively high price tag might dent its appeal among younger, less affluent buyers.

While it is not expected to produce large sales volumes in international markets, the company hopes its presence in the showroom will draw in consumers. Ford officials say that car aficionados have managed to get their hands on the Mustang in markets outside North America, leading the company to anticipate some level of overseas demand.
