Paul Walker’s last movie will hit theaters on April 10, 2015.
The late actor died in a car crash at a charity event last month. At the time of the accident, he was still filming the seventh installment in the popular Fast & Furious racing movie franchise. His co-star Vin Diesel has announced the planned release date for Fast & Furious 7 on Facebook (FB), adding that “he’d want you to know first,” a reference to Walker, USA TODAY notes.
After Walker’s shocking death, there had been speculation that the studio might scrap the Fast & Furious 7, which had not completed all of its critical scenes. Production on Fast & Furious 7 was suspended following the fatal crash
Walker’s character had appeared in six of the seven Fast and Furious films. In his posting, Diesel noted that “There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…” He included a photo of himself and Walker from the final scene the two had shot together for Fast & Furious 7.
