The Honda Rose Bowl Parade float will be 274 feet in length. This will make it the largest float to ever appear during the Rose Bowl Parade and will have it beating the 2005 record of 207 feet, which was also set by Honda. The float will also include 8,980 flowers, which is twice as many as last year’s float. The float will lead the parade and will play the song Of Friendships & Dreams. The float’s song was composed by six-time Grammy-winning songwriter and music producer, Daniel Ho.
Members of the crowd will be able to experience the Rose Bowl Parade from the float via LED screens equipped with cameras. The cameras will take images of people from the crowd and display them on the float, giving members of the crowd a virtual ride on the float.
Honda has participated in the Rose Bowl Parade since 1961 and has had a float in it since 1977. This year will also mark the fourth time that Honda has been the the presenting sponsor of the parade.
