Toyota Motors’ (TM) Highlander has joined the lineup of 2014 Super Bowl commercials.
Toyota’s redesigned Highlander will be advertised in a 60-second Super Bowl commercial. Details on the Super Bowl ad are slim, but it’s known that Toyota will team up with another global brand for the ad. Toyota won’t be the only car manufacturer with a Super Bowl commercial: Hyundai, Kia, Audi, and Tata Motors’ (TTM) Jaguar are all set to make an appearance during the Feb. 2 event, which is expected to have 100 million viewers, reports Automotive News.
Jack Hollis, VP of marketing for Toyota, mentioned to AdAge that Kaley Cuoco may return for this year’s Super Bowl commercial. Cuoco, who stars in CBS’ (CBS) The Big Ban Theroy, appeared in Toyota’s Super Bowl ad last year as a genie that granted wishes for a single family. However, Hollis did say that the company has yet to work out the creative process of the ad with its lead agency.
Companies that are late to the Super Bowl commercial party this year are out of luck. Fox (FOX) sold out of Super Bowl ad space on Dec. 5.
