The Twitter (TWTR) app for iOS and Android received a new update that makes it easier for users to share photos privately.
NBC News reports that the app has become more user-friendly by allowing users to share private photos via direct message. Photo-sharing apps like Snapchat had been dominating the way people shared private photos with their smartphones but the new feature in the Twitter app should help the company compete with them.
The new upgrade also allows users to navigate through different feeds by swiping the screen left or right. Additionally, iOS users will see new notifications whenever someone sends them a direct message or interacts with one of their tweets. Android users have a new option as well with the new update that allows them to receive notifications by tapping the star on their profile.
