AT&T (T[1]), announced on Wednesday[2], that it is ending its 12-year sponsorship with American Idol.

American Idol AT&T Ends 12 Year Sponsorship With American IdolAT&T didn’t give a reason for ending its sponsorship with American Idol, but it did wish the program its best.

“We’ve been proud to be a part of this groundbreaking TV series for the past 12 years,” AT&T told Variety. “We wish our friends at American Idol continued success.”

AT&T’s cut sponsorship hasn’t stopped Ford Motors (F[3]) and Coca-Cola (KO[4]) from giving their support. The two companies will stay on and sponsor Fox’s (FOXA[5]) 13th season of American Idol, Variety notes.

Besides AT&T ending its sponsorship of American Idol, the show has also undergone three big changes[6] for its 13th season.
