Best Places to Retire lists often change by year — as demographics change, tax rates change, or as communities change.
The list, newly released by Forbes magazine, draws on overall cost of living (most are at or below the national average) and home prices as compared to national averages and general state tax climates for retirees.
Of course, the list looks at demographics and weather, with most in warm climates that retirees prefer.
