A recall of three Britax stroller models has been issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Britax strollers affected by the recall include the B-Agile, B-Agile Double and BOB Motion models. Anyone who owns one of these strollers is warned to stop using it immediately and to contact Britax to obtain a repair kit.
The Britax strollers were recalled after eight incidents of injuries were reported. The injuries reported include one partial fingertip amputation, one broken finger and severe finger lacerations.
The strollers were sold at several locations during the time span of May 2011 to June 2013 for anywhere from $250 to $450. Some retailers that carried the Britax strollers during this time include Amazon (AMZN) and Toys R Us.
Customers who have bought a Britax stroller during this time should look for the following serial numbers to identify a recalled models.
- B-Agile Serial Numbers — U341763, U341764, U341782 and U341783.
- B-Agile Double Serial Numbers — U361818 or U361819.
- BOB Motion Serial Numbers — U391820, U391821 and U391822.
