Football fans without a TV subscription[1] shouldn’t fret over how they will watch the Super Bowl this year.
[2]Football fans can use the Fox Sports Go app to stream the big game live. The app, which is available on desktops and Apple (AAPL[3]) devices, will broadcast Super Bowl XLVIII in both English and Spanish for free, The Verge notes
Unfortunately, Verizon (VZ[4]) customers won’t be unable to use their phones to stream the game for free. Instead, those mobile users can watch the game via the NFL mobile app, which requires $5 a month for a subscription, reports The Verge.
Fox Sports also said that it is prepared for the possibility that the Super Bowl could be moved to a different date. While the NFL hasn’t announced a date change, it did say it’s ready if a storm prevented the game from being played on its scheduled day. In a worst case scenario, the NFL claims that it can change the date of the Super Bowl to anywhere from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3, The Hollywood Reporter[5] notes.
