Golden Globes Predictions 2014: Who Will Win Oscars?

Many consider the Golden Globes to be a dress rehearsal for the Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the 2014 Golden Globe Awards which will air live on Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. on NBC. The Golden Globes are usually seen as the beginning of the awards season as well as an early look at Oscar favorites.

12 Years A Slave has the best odds to win the award in the Best Picture – Drama category followed by Gravity, Captain Phillips, Philomena and Rush. In the Best Picture – Comedy or Musical category, American Hustle is the favorite to win the Golden Globe over Wolf of Wall Street, Her, Nebraska and Inside Llewyn Davis.

Chiwetel Eijofo from 12 Years a Slave is the favorite for Best Actor in a Movie – Drama category and Cate Blanchett is the favorite in the female category of the same award for Blue Jasmine. Nebraska’s Bruce Dern is expected to be a Golden Globes Best Actor in a Movie – Comedy or Musical winner for his performance in Nebraska and American Hustle’s Amy Adams is the favorite for the female category.
