Google Glass Driver Found Not Guilty Thursday

Google’s (GOOG) new gadget is already causing controversy as a woman wearing Google Glass was arrested in October.

Cecilia Abadie was outraged when she was stopped and ticketed for driving with Google Glass on but the case was dismissed on Thursday. The judge ruled in her favor and dismissed the ticket for “Driving with monitor visible to Driver.”

Abadie went online to see if she had done anything wrong with a Google+ post that said “Is #GoogleGlass [illegal] while driving or is this cop wrong???” She received a lot of support from Google users and even developer Matt Abdou who offered to set up an online donation page to pay for Abadie’s attorney.

Ironically enough, Google Glass helped out in an arrest earlier this month.

GOOG stock is down 0.4% early Friday afternoon.
