As incredible as that would be, the video game company has stated that the rumors are false. Nikkei’s article used Nintendo CEO Satoru Iawata’s words from old press conference regarding the company’s willingness to use smart devices to promote its products.
“However during such past announcements Mr. Iwata has also stated that Nintendo’s intention is not to make Nintendo software available on smart devices,” a company spokesperson said in a statement. “And as such, we can confirm that there are no plans to offer mini-games on smartphone devices.”
