A woman from Seattle challenged herself to eat nothing but Starbucks (SBUX) for an entire year.
The woman — named Beautiful Existence — spent $500 to $600 months in a diet that consisted of nothing but Starbucks. She only ate and drank food and beverage items from the coffee giants for 365 days as part of the year-long challenge in order to immerse herself into the world of Starbucks.
“I just have a natural curiosity to find out about companies and how things work in the world,” Existence told USA TODAY. “I had to deal with a lot of food changes as they introduced products on a continuous basis. And if I didn’t plan accordingly, Starbucks would be closed.”
Existence made her ‘nothing but Starbucks’ challenge public on her website For 1 Year of My Life. The coffee company heard of Existence’s challenge and took her to lunch in the cafeteria of the headquarters. She said that it was hard to adapt to the challenge but the best part of it is that she didn’t gain a lot of weight from it.
This is the third year-long challenge that Existence has done as she only shopped at Goodwill in 2011 and followed advice from Parents magazine in 2012.
